Your Chance to Have a Say in how your local River is Managed…
The Department of the Environment’s Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) is leading work to implement 3 Regional River Basin Management Plans setting out how we will meet European water quality targets in Northern Ireland by 2015. But planning what happens in our rivers should involve everyone. So, 9 Catchment Stakeholder Groups have been set up to provide a forum for anyone interested in local water issues to identify their concerns to both statutory agencies and non-government organisations and have these addressed at a local level.
